In 2008, I worked as part of a team to produce 20 investigative features on Egypt, examining the sparks of change in the society as of 2004, among issues I covered, Islamist movements including Muslim Brotherhood, Sufi sects, Jihadists, ideological revisions adopted by Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya, sectarian violence against Coptic Christians, illegal immigration, liberal movements and freedom of speech, etc.
